JAPANESE SPEAKING TOUR COORDINATOR – HIS Oceania

JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

A great opportunity exists for a dynamic and motivated Japanese Speaking Tour Coordinator on a Full-time basis to join H.I.S. (Fiji) Pte Limited, which is part of the Oceania regional subsidiary of H.I.S. Co., Ltd, one of Japan’s leading travel organisations (https://his-oceania.co/). As a Japanese Speaking Tour Coordinator you will processes tour enquiries and bookings for travel arrangements including airline tickets, coach bookings, accommodation, day tours, car-hire, transfers and travel insurance; working over the telephone and on-line.

 

 

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Answer queries from travel agents and offer suggestions on tours, travel routes, accommodation and local customs
Provide literature and information on local tours and places of interest
Discusses transport availability and cost
May arrange tickets for travel and accommodation and collect payment; and
May assist travel agents in preparing itineraries for tourists
Liaising with external stakeholders
Creating and submitting tariffs to overseas branches and to Japan planning sections

 

To be considered for the position, the candidate must have the following:

Fluency in the Japanese language;
A deep understanding of Japanese customs and business etiquette;
Minimum 12 months in an inbound tour operator, would be preferable, but not essential
Excellent communication skills, written & verbal, with good phone manner.
Sound sense of business, with an interest in customer service delivery
Strong administration/organisational skills with familiarity of Microsoft Suite
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Ability to effective work as part of a team and follow direction
