About the position:

Provide design and administration support to the Principal Engineer, helping leverage his time to fast track the goals of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as “second pair of eyes” to the Principal
• Inbox management – Coordinate external communication on behalf of Founder, including preparing client emails, responding to client emails, and taking phone calls
• Managing & responding to client/internal correspondence including, phone, email & SMS
• Undertake industry outreach program
• Design and documentation in accordance with AS/NZ standards
  • Reinforced concrete
  • Residential slabs
  • Masonry
  • Residential timber frames
  • Structural steel
  • Aluminium
• Prepare forms & certifications
• Manage projects and timekeeping via our project software (Plutio)
• Conducting research as required
• Miscellaneous tasks to support Principal

The successful applicant must have:

• The passion to grow into this role and make it their own
• Has 1-3 years of structural design & drafting experience
• Has Experience using Autocad or (Sketchup/Revit)
• Has Experience undertaking design independently (but supervised)

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for an opportunity to be interviewed, applicants will need to at least meet the criteria’s below:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in Structural Design & Drafting
• Experience in using Autocad or (Sketchup/Revit)
• Sound understanding of Fiji Engineering/Construction Codes
• High level of English language with excellent communication skills
