Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Finance and Funding functions.
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, cash flow, and financial forecasting.
- Oversee grant management and institutional funding processes for Higher Education Institutions.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for the Commission.
- Coordinate and manage annual financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee procurement processes and supplier management.
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Support organizational decision-making through sound financial analysis and advice.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Professional membership or certification with recognised body (CPA or CA equivalent)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, audit coordination and financial analysis
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial management practices, data analysis, and the preparation and interpretation of financial reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with proven experience in the use of accounting and financial management systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Pay Global systems will be an advantage.
