Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of Mechanic to be based at Carpenters Motors – Used Cars in Walubay, Suva. Responsibilities:

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform team leader if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by customer
Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty of if requested by customer
Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
Notify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause and correction format
Road test vehicles to check work performed
Ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced
Adheres to company policies, procedures and safety standards
Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals.

Requirements:

Form 6 educated or Trade Certificate in Automotive Mechanical.
At least 2-3 year of experience is required in the similar field.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
Time management skills are essential.
Customer service skills.
Valid Group 2 Driving License.
