Your day to day

As MICE Executive, you’ll develop and set MICE (meeting, incentives, conferences & exhibitions) strategies for the hotel(s) to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored, and MICE sales goals are achieved. Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage through direct client contacts

  • Lead all aspects of MICE operations including sales, proposal development, pricing, product and contracts.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop our teams involved with MICE operations and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues - recognize good performance
  • Provide constructive feedback to make sure our teams hit hotel revenue goals to the standards we expect, and colleagues have the tools they need to work effectively.
  • Drive a great working environment for multi department teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process by developing and / or maintaining pipeline management tools and statistics.
  • Direct and manage the forecasting process in conjunction with the Revenue Department to ensure accurate, timely and complete information.
  • Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast
  • Actively participate and complete the preparation of the annual Sales and Market Plan, quarterly updates, and the properties annual Budgets.

  • Work closely with local NGOs and business houses to grow the local market share
  • Increase international events market share with market strategies, offerings and networking through attending local and international trade shows, sales trips and networking events where required representing the properties
  • Work closely with Tourism Fiji in the events and niche market space to generate market visibility and increase market share

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field
  • Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required
  • Must speak local language(s)
  •  Other languages preferred
