NATIONAL PARTS MANAGER – Carpenters Fiji PTE Limited

JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Carptrac, the Caterpillar Distributor in the Fiji Market has an excellent opportunity available for suitably qualified and experienced person for the role of National Parts Manager to be part of our Caterpillar team based at 1 Carpenter Street, Raiwai Suva.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain optimal levels of Caterpillar parts inventory.
Conduct regular assessments to identify slow moving or obsolete items and implement appropriate measures.
Place orders with Caterpillar and other suppliers to ensure a continuous suppy of parts.
Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to maximize cost effectiveness.
Coordinate the efficient and timely distribution of parts to meet customer demands.
Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and delivery processes.
Supervise and motivate a team of parts specialists to achieve operational excellence.
Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor inventory accordingly.
Foster strong relationships with Caterpillar and other suppliers to enhance collaboration and obtain favorable terms.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders and transactions.
Generate regular reports for management on key performance indicators.
Implement cost effective strategies to optimize the use of resources and reduce operational expenses.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in similar field.
Excellence verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Caterpillar products is an advantage.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellence leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
