Key Responsibilities
- The Home Manager is responsible for the overall 24/7 operations and management of the National Women Shelter.
- Oversee all day-to-day operational matters of the shelter home in line with approved SOPs and national shelter guidelines.
- To assist in the Gender/ GBV shelter prevention and response programme design relevant to the residential care of the women and girls that take shelter at the home, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualised support/case plans for each resident.
- Represent the shelter in relevant inter-agency meetings and networks when required.
- Identify and develop opportunities for additional resources and partnerships to enhance service delivery.
- Work with the Management team to manage all the aspects of the shelter services, development and partnerships.
- Supervision, coaching, performance reviews for program staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in shelter management, GBV case management, or working with survivors of gender-based violence.
- Strong understanding of gender-based violence, trauma-informed care, and survivor-centred approaches.
- Proven experience in staff supervision and team leadership.
- Excellent knowledge of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection National Fiji Shelter Guidelines in responding to Gender Based Violence and other related national frameworks.
