GML Labels and Flexible division is a rapidly growing innovative packaging printer, specializing in pressure sensitive labels and flexible packaging for retail, commercial, and industrial markets. We are looking for a dedicated, focused, and experienced Labels / Flexibles Packaging Manager.

Primary Function: Responsible for overseeing all of the production-related activities and the safe day-to-day operation and maintenance of the manufacturing floor. Develop new packaging using the latest technology and skills, Assist Sales department to identify new potential packaging products, provides leadership to all assigned personnel to ensure that all safety, quality and productivity goals are met.

Analyzes and organizes press and personnel scheduling to ensure desired flow of work can be maintained and deadlines met with staffing and production capabilities available.
Continually reevaluates personnel, practices and procedures to maintain and improve Quality Control, safety, levels of production, and morale.
Keep abreast of new methods, processes and procedures in order to keep the department running smoothly.
Leads and facilitates continuous improvement activity through utilization of Lean Manufacturing tools.
Participate in special projects directed toward improving the Production Department relating to high productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Initiates Production personnel actions, such as new hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
Establish training program for assigned personnel and monitor employee progress; set performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback to employees.
Ensure production equipment is operating at optimum efficiency and equipment down-time is minimized by means of Preventative Maintenance practices, Work Order Request Forms and Daily Operator Feed-Back Logs.
Ensures all non-conformities are handled accordingly, with proper documentation and segregation.
Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operation to fulfill the demand of customer requests. It includes both technical and non-technical matters in the flexible packaging business.
Manage together with management team all aspects of running the day-to-day, including product development, production planning, and monitoring, maintenance, quality control, procurement & inventory management, and finance
Build a coherent team with a clear performance focus, a can-do attitude, and positive culture
Support product development and transition of the new product into production
Monitor operations metrics to optimize product quality and minimize waste
Assess the quality and accuracy of data and determine if material meets pre-defined acceptance criteria.
Identify & manage leads and prospects to convert into new accounts working closely with sales department.
Be knowledgeable about the products we offer and new innovations and provide solutions to sales.
Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers.

Qualifications Required

· Masters of Business Administration

· Diploma in Packaging

· Bachelor of Science

· Printing Technology
