The Program
The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs such as health, education, emergency preparedness and response and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards in Fiji and Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability and social inclusion, climate change and Disaster Risk Reduction, across sectoral programs. In particular, the Facility seeks to strengthen program outcomes by better addressing the needs of targeted beneficiaries including those who are often marginalised.

The Facility has expanding infrastructure programs in Fiji, which currently focuses on education (Schools Recovery Program) and health sectors. The Facility manage these projects on behalf of the Australian Government as part of the Australian Aid program.

The Infrastructure Program is managed by the Facility from the Suva office.

The Position
The Infrastructure Project Manager will support the Program Manager by managing the delivery of a number of specific projects for the Infrastructure Program largely on an independent basis with guidance from, and management oversight by the Program Manager.

This includes attendance in all site meetings, cost and time planning, procurement and contracting of architectural and construction works services and the full project delivery cycle from procurement of consultants, design and tendering for the delivery of infrastructure projects, and the management of Defects Liability Period.

The Annual salary will be between FJD 72,900.00 and FJD 83,600.00, dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience. The salary is inclusive of employer superannuation contribution.

The Person
Successful candidate will have at least seven (7) years of experience in infrastructure project management including advanced technical knowledge in architectural design and construction methodology. At least 2 years’ experience on public infrastructure (health or education) is preferred. You will have extensive knowledge and skills in contract administration, procurement management, budget planning and management, including a good understanding of the local building and construction industry.

They will be highly reliable with excellent work ethics and proven track record for delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be highly motivated and pro-active in managing stakeholders in government and local communities whilst possessing the skills and knowledge for delivering multiple projects across multiple sites. Experience with working on projects with government stakeholders, local communities and foreign aid agencies will be advantageous.
