PROPERTIES AND PROJECT MANAGER – Fiji Sports Council

The Fiji Sports Council is seeking an experienced and results-oriented professional to join its management team as Properties and Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and optimizing the Fiji Sports Council’s property and facilities portfolio.
  • Leading the planning and delivery of capital works, refurbishment and infrastructure projects.
  • Developing and implementing property, asset management and maintenance plans.
  • Managing project budgets, contractors, consultants and service providers.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, quality and timeframes.
  • Developing programmes to upgrade sporting facilities to appropriate national and international standards.
  • Overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance programmes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve facility utilization and generate commercial returns from Council properties.
  • Managing property-related leases, licenses and agreements.
  • Monitoring property, project, safety and compliance risks.
  • Preparing project business cases, investment proposals and regular reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Supporting partnerships and investment opportunities for the development and redevelopment of Council facilities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Building or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience, with demonstrated experience in property, infrastructure, construction or project management.
  • Proven experience managing major projects, contractors and consultants.
  • Experience managing project and operational budgets.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience in sporting facilities, stadium management, public-sector infrastructure, commercial property development or major events will be an advantage.
