We are looking for a dedicated, focused and experienced; – Purchasing Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the above position reporting to the company secretary and be based at Boila Circle, Valelevu.

Primary Responsibilities: –

He/she will be responsible for product sourcing, managing vendors, negotiations, pricing, and vendor relationship.
Purchasing manager should have management skill, negotiation skill, communication skills and decision-making skills.
Manage day to day purchasing, stock orders and make sure it runs smoothly and effectively.
Manage, develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
To focus and emphasize market trend, new products, and competitors.
Maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure high quality products and deliver on time.
Make sure all the stock orders from operation can get in time, sufficient and delivered
Review slow moving and fast-moving items to analyze sales by categories
Review vendors performance regularly especially for stocks available, delivery, prices, and payments.
Make regular market survey and competitor’s analysis such as new products, pricing, promotions, and activities.
Ability to use purchasing software and category management
Regularly looking for suitable products from website and online.

Secondary Responsibilities: –

Oversee and foresee the future market trends, salable and profitable products.
Suggest ideas of product display, product knowledge and information to operations.
To focus and emphasize market trend, new products, and competitors.
Prepare and list the updated records of vendors, purchased products, agreements, and information by monthly.
Create disciplines, control and guidelines to prevent bias and corruptions.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales reports and submit to the management.
Attend regular monthly meeting and present the situations of vendors, products and prices.
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to get more product sourcing and vendors.
Maintain high-level confidentiality.
Any other duties delegated by Management

Skills & Qualifications: –

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Procurement/Purchasing
Hands-on experience with purchasing supermarket retailed goods and other items
Previous experience of leading and managing supplier procurement tenders
Strong people management skills
Any Diploma/Bachelor Degree holder
A Full and Valid Republic of Fiji Driver License.
Ability to communicate in Oral and Written English
