RESORT GENERAL MANAGER – Navini Island Resort

Navini Island Resort is a unique Fijian Island Resort located in the Mamanuca Group. A boutique resort offering a specialized and personalised island holiday experience. For over four decades, the resort has provided guests with relaxing accommodation, fresh locally inspired dishes, friendly service and vivid local cultural experiences. Highest standards are maintained and many guests return again and again.

Currently seeking a self-motivated, innovative and dynamic leader for the role of Resort General Manager, with the ability to take the business to new heights.

Key accountabilities include:

Overseeing all aspects of business operations
Provide leadership and guidance through human resource development, while maintaining sound corporate management
Overseeing all financial aspects, with focus on timely and accurate presentation of management accounts
Employ strategies to manage functional area costs, improve efficiency and profitability
Manage guest feedback including through efficient and effective handling of complaints in order to improve service delivery while developing SOPs to exceed guest expectations
Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders of the business
Ensure regulatory compliance in all areas
Effectively respond to operational risks and natural disaster situations

Qualifications and Essential Attributes:

At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Management, Public Administration, Tourism Management and Hospitality or similar. A Master’s Degree would be highly regarded.
Proven leadership experience as a General Manager, preferably in tourism industry
Hands on knowledge in governance and compliance
A leader combined with a “down to earth” approach; exceptional people management skills
A reliable, honest and trustworthy individual who does not compromise integrity
Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
Good interpersonal and problem solving skills
