RETAIL STORE SUPERVISOR
OVERVIEW

We seek an experienced store supervisor to assist manage our retail stores, overseeing employees, cashiers, and product/service quality. With exceptional merchandising skills and product knowledge. Evaluate retail staff performance. Successful candidates demonstrate strong managerial and communication skills, along with a passion for customer service.

$22,000 – $23,000 yearly

We provide accommodation and a company vehicle. 2 year contract, with paid annual leave

KEY / GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Overseeing sales staff, cashiers, shelf stocking, and other staff.

· Receive and count float money to ensure amount is correct at the start of shift and/or at changeover;

· Report any discrepancies immediately to Store Manager or Security;

· Greet customers when entering, during sale and upon leaving establishment;

· Maintain clean and tidy checkout counter and surrounding areas;

· Keep reports of all sale transactions. All “No Sales Dockets” must be kept and signed off by Security.

· Operate cash register and handling cash transactions with customers;

· Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks, and profit-margins.

· Implementing measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage.

· Addressing customers’ requests, comments, and complaints.

· Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure customer satisfaction;

· Motivating employees to achieve targets.

· Training new staff members and scheduling shifts.

· Receive payment by cash and/or redeem customer vouchers;

· Make sale referrals to other relevant departments such as Warehouse, Hardware, Tackleshop or Bottleshop when required;

· Count money in cash drawers at the end of shift to ensure that sales and receipts are accurately reconciled during clearing;

· Discretely inform or clarify Store Manager or Supervisor regarding pricing of any item(s) if in doubt;

· Any other duties assigned by Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Preferably minimum of 2 years work experience as sales person or similar role

Basic numeracy and literacy – High school diploma or GED.
Demonstrable experience in a supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar.
Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
Competency in POS retail management software
Familiarity product knowledge and exceptional merchandising skills
