As a Recoveries Consultant, you will manage a portfolio of accounts with balances not more than $1.5million dollars where customers who have been identified as requiring remedial action or as high risk, with an aim to reduce the risk to the Bank whist maintaining the Bank’s reputation and high customer satisfaction. For those customers who cannot be rehabilitated back to financial wellness, you will obtain their highest level of recovery possible whist maintaining the Bank’s reputation. You will also raise and manage provisions in line with Credit Policy where a loss to Bank is likely.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following –
Demonstrated experience in credit, collections or recoveries or general business activities in a financial controller capacity
Ability to work with customers who are experiencing very challenging financial situations, display empathy whilst setting very clear expectations during courageous conversations
High level business acumen, in depth understanding of business financials and fundamentals
Sound decision making skills
Self-managing, self-motivated and excellent time management skills
ATOM accreditation or sound capacity management knowledge preferable
