Formscaff (Fiji) Pte Ltd is seeking individuals to fill in the following position:

•Scaffolders & Tent Riggers

Job Summary:

The Scaffolder & Tent Rigger is responsible for the safe and efficient assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding systems and temporary tent structures for various construction, event, and industrial projects. This role requires physical strength, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety practices.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and instructions to properly assemble and disassemble scaffolding and tent structures.
– Safely erect and dismantle scaffolding systems, ensuring stability, load capacity, and compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
– Carefully measure, cut, and fit scaffolding components, including frames, braces, planks, and safety rails.
– Inspect scaffolding and tent structures for damage or wear and perform necessary maintenance or repairs.
– Assist in the setup and takedown of temporary tent structures, such as those used for events, exhibitions, or disaster relief.
– Properly store and maintain all scaffolding and tent rigging equipment, tools, and materials.
– Operate various power tools and equipment required for scaffolding and tent installation tasks.
– Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and team members to coordinate work activities.
– Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
– Participate in safety training programs and maintain current certifications as required.

 

 

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in scaffolding or rigging preferred.
– Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a scaffolder, tent rigger, or in a related construction/event support role.
– Thorough understanding of scaffolding and tent rigging systems, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
– Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and equipment commonly used in scaffolding and tent installation.
– Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
– Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address on-site challenges.
– Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
– Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate light-duty vehicles.
– Certification in scaffolding, rigging, or fall protection is highly desirable.
