SECURITY SUPERVISOR – Grand Pacific Hotel

The Grand Pacific Hotel is on an historic journey as we transit into our Luxury & Lifestyle collection of becoming “InterContinental Grand Pacific Hotel Suva”, we have an opportunity within our Food & Beverage team for a Security Supervisor.

 

As a Security Supervisor, you will support the team which will include but not limited to the following:

Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion.
Perform routine security assessments to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities, crafting strategies for risk reduction.
Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, swiftly responding to security breaches or incidents.
Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during security emergencies.
Educate and train security personnel on protocols and emergency response plans.
Regularly inspect security equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms) to ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
Assist with investigating security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
Collaborate across departments to integrate security measures into all operational facets, including events, facility management, and employee safety.
Be ready to jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your assistance.
Ensure to adhere to the safety protocols of the hotel.

 

What we need from you

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and friendly individual who is willing to learn and build an extraordinary career within a global company. The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in a security supervisory role, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Physical fitness and ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking, patrolling, and responding to emergencies.
Literate –you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic math.
Flexible –night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
Articulate –a great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
Group 2 driving license will be an added advantage
