About the role 

In this role, you will be an integral part of our growing team, working closely with all team members, including the firm’s Partner. You will be responsible for the delivery of client work in an accurate and timely manner with assistance from junior team members, including the following:

  • Oversee bookkeeping jobs, i.e., bank reconciliations, payroll, hire purchase, depreciation, AR, AP & other reconciliations
  • Review and prepare GST/VAT returns
  • Review and prepare client’s management accounts and financial reports
  • Review and prepare individual, company, trust & partnership tax returns
  • Prepare taxation research and advice
  • Attend client meeting with Manager/Partner
  • Liaise and manage a client portfolio
  • Assist manager with workflow management and process improvement
  • Coaching of Graduate and Intermediate Accountants
  • Proactively building and maintaining strong working relationships with your team, firm, and clients

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 4+  years’ experience within a public practice accounting firm, preferably in business services
  • Qualifications in an accounting degree or diploma, and CA or CPA qualified
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • A team player who is proactive, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Experience with coaching and reviewing the work of junior team members will be highly regarded
  • Experience in MYOB and Xero
  • Prior experience in the use of MYOB AR will be highly regarded
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Critical and analytical thinking to solve problems

Package

Graduate with experience – 18k to 25k

CA/CPA – 20k to 28k
