Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports by verifying data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Conduct preliminary financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key movements, and provide insights to support decision-making by senior team members.
  • Maintain and update financial data sources to ensure reliable and accurate reporting.
  • Perform data entry, account reconciliations, and validation activities to maintain the accuracy of financial records and reports.
  • Assist in improving data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including Financial Operations, Compliance, and Management Reporting, to obtain, verify, and validate financial information.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support projects, departmental objectives, and management requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns within required deadlines, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting tasks, and other finance-related assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, or financial modelling, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience with financial modelling tools, data analytics, or visualization tools would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
