Key Responsibilities
- Leading and executing complex internal audit assignments.
- Evaluating internal controls, risk management practices, regulatory compliance, financial and operational processes.
- Providing practical recommendations to strengthen governance, accountability, and organizational performance.
- Planning, leading, and executing risk-based audit assignments from scoping through to reporting.
- Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control, governance, and risk management practices.
- Contributing to monitoring and implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
- Conducting investigations and providing guidance and mentorship to junior audit staff.
Requirements
- Postgraduate Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related discipline.
- At least five (5) years of experience in audit, risk, governance, investigation, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Internal Audit Standards, Risk Management, Governance Codes and practices, Internal Control Frameworks, regulatory compliance, and investigation.
- Experience working with Boards, senior executives, or in governance and advisory roles will be an added advantage.
- Membership in IIA, CPA, or FICA will be an added advantage.
