JOB OVERVIEW
The role of Team Leader Cabin Crew is responsible for managing and leading the cabin crew team through aligning the Performance Management System to deliver excellent levels of customer services in pursuit of departmental goals in terms of safety, punctuality, people management and exceeding customer expectations. The role will support in both an office and flying capacity monitoring compliance to company standards and providing feedback to relevant departments. This position reports to the Manager Cabin Crew.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead teams towards a strong safety Just Culture reflected by timely and accurate reporting and investigation of incidents (MORs/ORs).
Provide leadership to cabin crew ensuring that future plans and service delivery direction is communicated, understood and implemented at an operational level.
Represent the department at the Safety Report Risk Assessment Team meetings to address health, safety and security of all Customers and Cabin Crew within our care – adhering to legislative requirements including IOSA and CAAF.
Promote Customer Service principles, in order to achieve an environment in which crew feel valued and inspired to deliver the departmental KPI’s.
Work with partner departments (OCC, Flight Operations, Engineering, Ground Operations, Safety & Security, People and Performance & Training) to provide operations/service input on issues such as flight delays, roster needs, technical snags, safety & service policy and procedures crew promotions, training & development and support Employee Relations and delivery of company initiatives.
Conduct performance appraisals for cabin crew with a specific focus on Pursers and provide coaching, guidance and development feedback to crew.
Specify acceptable standards and create means of recognizing/rewarding good performers and managing poor performance within the current Fiji Airways frameworks and policies.
Engage with the Product development team to ensure adequate representation of the Cabin Crew in the early planning stages of new product/service cycle changes and any improvements so that ergonomic factors, crew feedback, productivity issues and other hygiene factors are considered.
Contribute to the development of the future business plan, departmental budget /KPI’s, and take responsibility for the delivery of action plans to achieve both. Monitor and identify Sales/Revenue deficiencies for inflight duty free and devise corrective actions to ensure that operating revenue and costs are within the defined budget.
Establish a productive relationship with Employees and their representatives on day to day Industrial Relations matters and ensure operational issues are followed through to conclusion/resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Relevant tertiary qualification with three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory flying role OR extensive people management experience in a relevant work environment.
Proven track record of leading and managing a sizeable team.
Proven Safety and Customer service record.
Possess the ability to provide advice and guidance to cabin crew in the performance of their duties and exercise discretion in the management of confidential information.
