JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
We are on a search for a junior/intermediate as well as intermediate/senior web developers where technical skills, attitude, experience and most of all passion will see you pick up on existing code and drive solutions for our in-house websites and digital assets as part of a small but tight hands-on team. Flexibility around working remotely is up for discussion with the right candidates.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related study
1 – 5 years of programming experience in large-scale projects, depending on the role you are applying for
Experience working with front-end and back-end frameworks
The ability to take design requirements and develop the necessary design definition to implement features
Good communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
Knowledge and experience designing for optimum application performance, monitoring, code metrics, maintainability, and management
Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS and Heroku
Experience with Django, React + Typescript
Some experience with GraphQL and/or Ruby on Rails are nice-to-have but not essential
Key Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining our digital platforms which include back-end and front-end systems built using React and Django
Actively keeping up with, learning and trying out current/new trends in software development and design
Working with our in-house marketing team to design and build the next generation of our web applications
Supporting various departments with their online requirements
Liaising with the relevant project stakeholders, with leading the team on the cards for the right candidate
