Fiji Airports (FA) is a fully owned Government Commercial Company (GCC) that was established in April 1999. It came into existence as a result of the re-organisation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF) into separate commercial and regulatory authorities under the Public Enterprise Act, 1996. It is responsible for the operation of 15 public airports in the Fiji Islands. These include two international airports: Nadi International Airport – Fiji’s main international gateway and Nausori Airport – Fiji’s domestic hub and 13 outer island airports.
Fiji Airports is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the role of Manager Business Development.
The role leads the business or financial growth of the organisation by managing the non-aeronautical revenue and maximizing the profitability of the organisation. It oversees all opportunities, make recommendations, and manages the provision of commercial leasing for Fiji Airports (FA) by designing approaches to market associated business developments to secure new clients, including contract negotiation, project planning, and risk management.
The role focuses on customer satisfaction and manages teamwork while delivering state-of-the-art commercial solutions to support business growth.

Join NowReporting to the General Manager Commercial the role and will be responsible for the following outcomes:
Summary of Accountabilities:
- Take a lead role in efforts to maximize revenue via commercial development initiatives, including lease negotiation, property utilization, and strategic planning.
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to enhance customer experience and optimize revenue streams across airport properties.
- Oversee the concessions program, encompassing food and beverage, retail, advertising, sponsorships, wifi and other passenger services.
- Ensure alignment with the Fiji Airports Business Plan and objectives, while maintaining high standards of customer service excellence.
- Manage comprehensive parking management programs to enhance operational efficiency and increase revenue.
- Direct cargo revenue management, planning and capacity analysis to consistently generate revenue and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulations set forth by relevant authorities, including the FAA, TSA, Customs and Boarder Protections and other international. State and local entities.
- Maintain a high level of attention to safety and security standards across all commercial operations.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Business, Commerce, Property Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in property or facilities management in a corporate or private sector.
- A proven history of success leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a strategic thinker and a have a strong negotiation skill
- Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team
- Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Up to date industry trends, as well as laws and regulations
- Ability to build a strong relationship with clients and industry contact.
- Strong analytical and business development skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse data and generate reports.
- Manage and report on all assigned aspects of FA’s commercial operations to ensure compliance and maintenance of sound financial structures and efficiency protocols in line with FA objectives.
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, organize and plan to achieve objectives and goals, recognizing internal and external constraints and opportunities.
- Understand the application of all relevant regulations and laws that Fiji Airports operates within
- Mentor, train and assist the commercial team with a view to succession planning.

Remuneration
An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
