MAINTENANCE FITTER – CJ Patel

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Alfa Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group that manufactures hygiene and consumer products for Fiji and international markets such as Pacific Laundry Bar, Malumu tissues, and Stelow and also holds the manufacturing license for world-renowned international brand Janola. We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of a Fitter to be based in Lami.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance on machines including fitting and assembling fabricated parts and assemblies into machines and equipment.
• Dismantle faulty tools and sub-assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
• Examine drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings for troubleshooting.
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, electrical tools, welding equipment etc.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies for correct operations.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of plant & equipment as per program and complete relevant records.

 Essential Requirements

• A Trade Certificate or Trade Diploma in Fitting & Machining/Plant Maintenance or other equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing plant will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Workplace Health and Safety Protocols and Quality.
• Have the drive, energy, and personality to work as part of a team.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and on shift basis.
