Join NowKeeping our resort running smoothly is vital to our guests’ experience – as part of the Engineering team, you will keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork, from plumbing to tracing HUB reports. With naturally high standards to support our own, you will approach every task with devotion and pride. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager/Asst. Chief Engineer and Chief Engineer, and within the limits of the resort’s policies and procedures, ensure that routine maintenance is performed for the resort’s plumbing system to be operated with maximum efficiency to achieve guest satisfaction.
Your day to day
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who know how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations. Ideally you will:
- Punctuality/neatness, reporting for duty at the roistered time correctly attired (adhering to grooming standards), and with a positive work attitude.
- To communicate daily with other staff and managers in a clear, and courteous manner.
- To possess tools pertaining to your trade and understand the proper way to use and carry out ones duties.
- To assist Engineering team members in all tasks as required.
- Repairs furniture, doors windows, tables, and cabinets.
- To construct, assemble and install permanent structures, office partitions, door, cornices and counters, panels, walls and ceilings
- Ensures all precautions are taken prior to commence the job in terms of health and safety
- Keep the carpentry workshop clean and neat always in terms of fire safety
- Returns notification of job completed to seniors, time taken, materials used to complete the assigned job
- To ensure all guest rooms is conducted on quarterly basis
- To provide quality customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- To perform all tasks in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain a high standard of departmental work practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Preferably candidates with pre-opening hotel experience.
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in similar role
- Knowledge of fixing decorative ceramic tiles, wall plastering, concrete mixing and shuttering, fixing of road paving tiles, silicon and grouting work
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Must have the ability to Multitask.
- Good communication skills
