HMR TECHNICIAN – Carpenters Motors

Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of HMR Technician to be based at Carpenters Motors – Heavy Mechanical Repairs Workshop in Suva.  If you believe that you are ready to join our dynamic team we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
• Carrying out periodic maintenance service and general repairs.
• Identify Mechanical or Electrical problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.
• Perform deleting of trouble code indicated in dashboard (ABS, Airbag, Check Engine light on)
• Perform overhaul of engine 
• Perform changing evaporator, compressor, filter drier, condenser, expansion valve
• Perform diagnosing/repairing of Electrical system
• Perform dismantling of turbo charger and super charger
• Perform overhaul starter and alternator
• Upgrade suspension for pick-up trucks leaf spring, shock absorber, coil spring stabilizer link and stabilizer bar.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems.
• Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Ensure all customers’ requests on the repair order are completed to a high quality standard.

Requirements:

• Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Heavy Commerical Vehicle).
• Proven experience of 5 years in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Execellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
•  Must have a valid driving license
