LICENSED ELECTRICIAN – Carpenters Fiji PTE Limited

Key Responsibilities:

•  Install new electrical systems and components (wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, etc.) in new or renovated buildings.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical systems to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty wiring, circuit breakers, electrical panels, outlets, and lighting systems.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct risk assessments and electrical safety inspections on a regular basis.
• Upgrade electrical systems to accommodate new building requirements, technological advancements, or tenant needs.
• Coordinate with other trades (plumbers, HVAC technicians, maintenance teams) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other building systems.
• Provide technical advice to contractors etc., regarding electrical plans and specifications.
• Address power outages, faulty circuits, tripped breakers, or other electrical system failures quickly and efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on electrical systems.
• Provide reports on electrical system performance to Management.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, and other stakeholders regarding electrical work progress, system issues, and repair schedules.

Key Requirements:

• Trade Certificate in Electrical from a recognized institution
•  Must hold a valid wireman’s license
• 3 – 5 years of experience working as a licensed electrician, particularly in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of technical application of electrical principles.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in a variety of environments, including complex multi-building facilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
