About the Role:

  • Accounts Payable: Handle data entry, reconcile monthly creditor statements, and manage payments.
  • Accounts Receivables: Issue tax invoices, apply receipts, and update weekly debtors’ reports.
  • Amex Payments Management: Monitor and maintain statement balances.
  • Daily Bank Reconciliation: Ensure accuracy in daily financial records.
  • Cash Flow Management: Update daily cash flow spreadsheets and monitor cash balances.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations between month-end closings.
  • General Ledger Reconciliation: Manage prepayments, aged creditors, and debtors.
  • Intercompany Balances: Confirm monthly balances and follow up on discrepancies.
  • BAS Preparation: Prepare and lodge monthly BAS.
  • Management Reports: Assist in preparing monthly management reports.
  • Budget and Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of the Annual Budget and 3-Way Forecast.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Maintain the Fixed Assets register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation reconciliation.
  • Annual Reporting: Prepare and lodge annual taxable payments (TPAR) and Payment Times Reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide support on daily ad hoc tasks as needed.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Accounting Qualification: Essential for the role.
  • Month-End Process Experience: Understanding and experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • BAS Lodgement Knowledge: Familiarity with the process is necessary.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Excel Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills required.
  • Accounting Software: Exposure to Jobpac is ideal.
  • Construction Experience: Highly desirable.
