IT MANAGER
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the day-to-day support of all IT systems, business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephone systems throughout the Resort.
- Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of LAN hardware devices, maintenance of bridges, gateways, modems, and routers and the monitoring of performance with the network cabling.
- Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and system users.
- Ensures smooth functioning and coordination of vendors for Guest Internet, Property Management Systems – PMS, Point of Sale – POS, IPTV, Telephone systems, and other software vendors.
- Overseeing and handling network configuration, Servers, Workstations, Networking equipment, PABX, email accounts, and also support for the underlying server/desktop infrastructure.
- Manages leadership in the establishment of project scope, technical strategy, cost, budget, and staff support requirements with new IT initiatives.
- Ensures that IT Audit points are implemented as per relevant Standard operating Procedures.
- Prepares and maintains Disaster Recovery contingency plans for possible emergency downtime situations and in the event of such, engage all necessary support functions as is deemed necessary to minimize disruption of hotel function.
- Prepares and maintains a Strategic plan for the Information Systems Department and systems for the next 5 years.
Requirements:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Hospitality, preferably in IT roles, along with a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology field, along with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems or Cisco certification.
- Experience with these Hospitality related applications and/or systems (PMS, POS, Key card, PABX, Voice mail, Micros and Opera).
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster.
- Excellent time management skills & ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
