VETERINARY SUPPORT OFFICER – Ram Sami & Sons (Fiji) Pte Limited

Key Responsibilities will include:

Routine examination & clinical assessment of chickens at layer and broiler farms

Post mortem analysis and reporting for corrective and preventative measures Uniformity monitoring

Investigating production drops and underweight of chickens and suggesting ideas for improvement

Husbandry practices monitoring

• Vaccination program effectiveness monitoring

Layer and broiler diet management

Bio Security standards management

Animal welfare and general health care support

Medication support and advise

Batch file analysis and improvement suggestions

Root cause analysis of shrinkages such as dirty shells, crack shells, defects in chicken development and recommending improvement strategies

Continuous improvement ideas/recommendations

Key Competency Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry

• 2-3 years of experience will be desirable but is not a prerequisite since full on-job training will be provided to the successful applicant. Fresh tertiary graduates are encouraged to apply
