Job Summary: This role involves preparing meat for sale by cutting, trimming, and packaging various types of meat. Qualifications: High school certificate or equivalent.

1 year experience as a butcher.

Basic understanding of meat processing and butchery techniques.

Familiarity with the operation of meat cutting machine & vacuum packaging machine, retail & food service environments is an advantage.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

Ability to work in a cold environment and handle raw meat.

Desirable: Certification in food safety and handling is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat for sale and cooking according to customer requirements

clean and sanitize butchery area, tools and equipment according to health and safety guidelines

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.

  • Monitor stock levels of meat products are restocked and rotated to maintain freshness.

Weigh, package and label products as per customer orders.

Record and dispose of waste and by-products according to health and safety guidelines.

  • Inform warehouse supervisor for wastage for stock reconciliation.

Assist in training new staff on butchery techniques and food safety practices.

Key Skills:

Familiarity with various meat types, cuts, and preparation methods. Proficiency in using knives and other tools safely and effectively.
