ENGINEERING HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – Waya Island Resort

Waya Island Resort, situated in the Southern Yasawa Group of islands on the western side of Waya Island, is a small boutique resort exclusively for adults that offers an exceptional guest experience.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Head of Department to join and lead our small but efficient team in this department and invite qualified candidates to join our resort vuvale.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar position in a resort or hotel as this role is very much a hands-on role.
• Expertise in electrical systems, plumbing, desalination plants, mechanical (diesel and outboard), and air-conditioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of equipment and systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor our young rising stars.
• Good organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ensure stock control and maintenance of all Engineering equipment.
