Location: Suva, Fiji
Basis: Permanent Full-time
Roster: Monday to Friday 10am – 7pm/11am – 8pm
Responsibilities
Clients are typically referred to the firm by accountants, lawyers and other finance professionals who support individuals and businesses facing financial difficulties. Managers play a key role in consulting with clients, assessing their financial situation, and developing tailored strategies to achieve the best possible outcome for the individual. As part of this role, you will work under a Manager to execute strategy project effectively.
From onboarding to project completion, you will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, including:
- Adhering to the project plan and following established processes as outlined by the Manager.
- Monitoring company activities, tracking project milestones and timelines, and keeping the Manager informed of progress.
- Requesting, organising, and following up on necessary documentation from clients.
- Scheduling and facilitating meetings between the Manager, clients, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive notes and action items are documented and distributed.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of company financials, including loan ledgers, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Auditing company and personal bank statements to identify areas of concern.
- Coordinating with accountants, solicitors, and valuers to facilitate sales, including business sales, and company or personal asset transactions.
- Preparing statutory forms, including bankruptcy documentation and company statements of affairs.
- Acting as a liaison between clients and insolvency practitioners, providing feedback and addressing inquiries on behalf of the client.
- Managing responses to claims from insolvency practitioners.
- Assisting clients with annual bankruptcy income declarations.
Qualification
An ideal candidate will meet most of the qualifications below.
- Prior experience in insolvency, accounting, consulting, financial planning, banking or a finance related field.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in business, accounting, finance or another related area of study. A master’s degree in a related field is advantageous, but not essential.
- Experience in audit, financial analysis or project management is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational competence (including planning, scheduling, co-ordinating and time management)
- A commercially minded professional with strong business acumen.
- A confident and articulate professional with strong communication skills and an empathic approach in a client-facing interactions.
- A collaborative team player who works well with colleague from varying backgrounds.
