FLEET OFFICER
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Fleet Officer to be based at our Head Office in Wailekutu, Lami. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for support and take lead on the day to day functions of the Fleet Department for the CJP Group of Companies.
- Coordination of all fleet related services, defects, maintenance and repair requests with respective business units and the service provider.
- Ensure the efficient and timely repairs, maintenance and service of vehicles are carried out including periodic fleet inspections and annual vehicle inspection renewals.
- Prepare capex and related paperwork for vehicle purchase and replacement in liaison with Management. Provide management with monthly reports on vehicle status & usage, repairs, fuel cost, service, accidents, complaints, purchases etc.
- Conduct analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations for timely replacements
- Manage vehicle accident reports and investigations including related insurance claims and lodgments.
- Maintain fleet related documentation and electronic database for registration, insurance, fuel card, driver’s license, sales, inspections and tenders etc.
- Conduct driver inductions and paperwork and review and maintain department policies.
Qualification, Experience and Attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in Automotive Engineering/Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fleet management in a medium or large sized organization.
- Must have adequate knowledge on vehicle service, parts and maintenance to provide basic technical advice and make informed decisions
- Must have a valid group 2 full driver’s license.
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
