PURCHASING OFFICER – CJ Patel

Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited is a food manufacturing entity of CJ Patel Group of Companies. We specialize in the production of noodles, extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and are co-manufacturers for Nestle. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Purchasing Officer to be based in Ba.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process purchase requests from various departments as per procurement policy and internal controls.
• Source suppliers and review and negotiate pricing to secure the competitive and best deals.
• Issue purchase orders and follow through on the delivery and receipt of stock.
• Ensure timely receipt of invoices upon delivery of goods.
• Verify that all shipping documents are complete and accurate to facilitate smooth customs clearance for imports.
• Prepare and submit purchase and cost analysis reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in monthly stocktakes to maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualification, Knowledge, and Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized institution.
• Work experience as a purchasing officer or similar procurement/supply chain capacity.
• Competent in Microsoft office applications (word, excel etc)
• Ability to build good working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and time management skills
•  Self-motivated and ability to work under minimum supervision.
