Human Resources Officer 

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Suva and reporting to the Entity General Manager and Group Head of HR. The Human Resources Officer will be accountable for leading strategic Human Capital Management for the assigned manufacturing entity in line with the Group HR strategies.

  • Lead staff recruitment, selection, induction and on boarding process for the assigned entity.
  • Work closely with various departments, providing support and guidance to line managers and employees.
  • Manage employee relations including performance & absence management, discipline and grievance Manage employee development initiatives including training needs analysis and execution of upskilling programs.
  • Oversee and manage people and culture projects, annual appraisals and succession planning with the respective entity heads.
  • Create strong performance culture, staff awareness and compliance with employment and OHS regulations across all levels of the business.
  • Ensure the provision of accurate statistics, implement and maintain departmental records management.
  • Develop good practice, innovative Human Resource initiatives to assist entity to achieve business excellence and become an employer of choice.

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree or tertiary qualification in Human Resources/Management/Industrial Relations or relevant field.
  • 4+ years experience as a HR Officer or similar role preferably in Manufacturing or Wholesale & Distribution Industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both written and oral) and the ability to interact effectively with staffs at all level.
  • Strong work ethics and sound knowledge Employment Relations Act and relevant laws.
  • Able to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
