FORKLIFT OPERATOR – CJ Patel

Pacific Batteries Pte Limited, is a subsidiary of CJ Patel and Company Pte Limited specialized in Design, Development, Manufacturing, Lead recycle and Marketing of lead-acid Batteries for Automotive, Marine, Deep Cycle, Golf cart, Traction and VRLA (Solar, UPS, Telecom) Application. We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Forklift Operator to be based in our factory in Lami.

Job Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Production Supervisor – Production/Warehouse department and will be involved in a variety of activities including but not limited to:

• Transporting materials between loading, unloading, and processing to/from storage area.
• Loading and unloading of goods from trucks, containers etc.
• Perform production & warehouse related tasks as per procedures.
• Manage stock rotation/FIFO/LIFO.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting loads up to 25kg.
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the factory.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment.
• To ensure forklift is clean, safe and in good operating condition.

Key Requirements:

• A valid Group 9 License with no adverse driving records.
• At least 1-2 years working experience in operating forklift, preferably in a manufacturing plant/storage facility setting.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Ability to operate a high reach forklift would be an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with honesty.
