IT EXECUTIVE

Location: Head Office, Ba.

Position Summary:

The IT Executive is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket’s IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively. This role will manage system upgrades, provide technical support to staff, ensure data security, and maintain critical software and hardware assets.

The IT Supervisor will also play a key role in supporting POS systems, inventory management systems, and digital integrations that support business operations and customer service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide technical guidance to IT support team.
• Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of all IT systems, including POS terminals, back-office systems, servers, network infrastructure, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and promptly resolve hardware/software/network issues.
• Maintain data backups, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers.
• Oversee IT support for day-to-day operations including troubleshooting, repairs, and software updates.
• Support implementation and ongoing functionality of inventory and warehouse management systems.
  Ensure security of all digital data and systems in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on IT system performance, risks, and improvements.
• Train team on proper use of IT systems and tools.
• Assist in budgeting and procurement of IT equipment and software licenses.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with minimum 3 years of experience in an IT Supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of POS systems, retail inventory management software, and networking.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Knowledge of data protection and IT security best practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
