The Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited invites proposals from experienced and qualified sugar industry consultants or firms to undertake a comprehensive independent study on the decline in sugarcane and primary juice quality across its Lautoka, Rarawai, and Labasa mill regions.
The selected consultant will conduct a 15-year analysis of field and mill data, identify key causes of cane and juice quality decline, evaluate the impact on sugar recovery, and recommend practical, field-tested strategies to improve quality and reduce losses.
Scope includes:

Data analysis of Brix, Pol, Purity, Fibre, and POCS trends

Field visits and sample testing (facilitated by FSC)

Review of current harvesting, transport, and farm practices

Stakeholder consultations with growers, field and mill staff
-
Delivery of a detailed technical and business case report with actionable recommendations
Eligibility Criteria:

10–15 years’ proven experience in sugarcane crop and factory operations

Demonstrated success in similar studies

Strong understanding of sugarcane quality metrics and mill processes

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
