NATIONAL HEAD COACH – Fiji Football Association

VACANCY

The Fiji Football Association invites application from suitably qualified person for the position of the Men’s National Team Head Coach who will guide the Team to the 2030 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The successful candidate will be an experienced international Head Coach or an upcoming Coach with high potential.

Preference given to candidates with following, but not limited to, qualities and qualifications:

• Lead the development of the Fiji FA National Team with the aim of qualifying for the 2030 FIFA World Cup

• Have a Pro-Licence Coaching Diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Coach with a proven success record

• Identify and develop the best eligible players to peak as a Team at the 2030 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

• Positive role model who can create a high-performance environment that will provide the necessary challenge to the players and staff

• Excellent leadership qualities and a team player who can effectively communicate with different stakeholders

• Create a strong team identity and positive team spirit that enable a play-to-win mentality

• Respect and adapt into the local culture and environment

• Combination of strong people skills and technical expertise to implement a clear playing style based on the strength of the Fijian players

• Provides role clarity to all players and staff to enable them to optimally perform their roles

• Ability to apply the principles of football coaching, sport science and technology within a high-performance programme, using proven and innovative methodologies to develop individuals and the team

• Knowledge and understanding of the Oceania region and football environment would be beneficial

• Mentoring identified domestic coaches, supporting football development programmes and coach education outside of national team activity

• Work in close collaboration with all other Fiji FA national team coaches and build positive relationships with club coaches

• Working closely together with the CEO and the Technical Director to Football Philosophy for all levels of Football
