FINANCE MANAGER – APCO

APCO invites application for the position of FINANCE MANAGER from suitably qualified and experienced candidates. The position reports to the General Manager and is based in Lautoka.

The Role:

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with business goals and market conditions.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial performance reports to senior leadership and board.
• Strengthen internal controls, monitor financial risks, and ensure compliance with group policies and transfer pricing norms.
• Develop and implement agreed unit business plans and budgets including key business projects or initiatives.
• Achieve unit objectives through the development and implementation of strategies which support the Fiji & South Pacific Operations.
• Manage the Fiji and South Pacific (Samoa, Solomon Islands & Vanuatu) regulatory environment to support business functions to achieve key operating targets for the South Pacific business.
• Ensure full compliance to controls, processes and procedures.
• Monitor and advise the business on South Pacific regulatory landscape to create opportunities for the business to grow.
• Protect the brands, commercial interests, and corporate reputation of the business, ensuring sustainability.
• Manage the security function to ensure business, people and asset security now and into the future.
• Ensure secretariat compliances and well versed with secretarial / board procedures and meetings etiquettes.
• Manage and improve IT environment within the organisation especially organisation ERP (Navision / SAP).
• Coach & envelop finance team in technical skill sets, leadership and groom them to take higher responsibilities.

Qualifications & Attributes:

• Must possess a relevant qualification from a recognized University together with CPA or CA from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Prior work experience of at least 10 years in a commercial environment in similar role highly desirable.
• Display in depth knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles to ensure hygiene of reported figures to government agencies and group.
• Have advanced organizational, writing and communication skills
• Have demonstrated track record in managing key business relationships including regulatory affairs.
• Display good interpersonal skills with the ability to report and present information clearly and concisely to a business audience.
• Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems including Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
