The University of Fiji seeks a creative and dynamic individual to join its team as an Administrative Assistant in our Samabula Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of the Administrative functions for the Samabula Campus. He/she will be based in the Samabula Campus but may be required to work from other university campuses as required.

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be expected to manage administration services for the Samabula Campus in consultation with the Head of Campus and to serve as the Campus’s point of contact for all inquiries, whether by phone, email, or in person. They will carry out other responsibilities such as for Finance, Human Resources, and Student Services while also providing a welcoming, courteous, and efficient service to students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

The candidate must have an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration/ Management/ Accounting / Economics or any other relevant discipline and have at least 3 years’ experience in administrative or a similar role preferably in a tertiary setting.

Skills & Experience:

The candidate must be a person of integrity and have initiative and be capable of planning ahead of time, prioritizing, and working accurately and flexibly. Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to easily interact with students, teaching and non-teaching staff, a parents, contractors, and suppliers. They should be able to multi-task, be proficient in Microsoft Office programs at a high level. Applicants must have strong interpersonal and administrative skills, as well as attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to write reports as needed.

Salary Band: $18,342.50 – $22,440.00
