Founded in 1968, Enfants du Monde (EdM) is a Swiss non-governmental organization specializing in child welfare, acting as part of a development cooperation approach and focusing its efforts in the education and health sectors.

To complete its team, EdM is recruiting a:

Assistant Administration and Finance / Accounting (80%-100%)

Entry into office: as soon as possible

Place of work: Suva

Accounting and finance

• Entry of accounting documents, payment of invoices, cash keeping, bank reconciliations;

• Entry and control of donations in the database;

• Participation in the operations of the annual accounting decree including annual social and tax declarations (source taxes, LPP, AHV and LAA);

• Participation in the preparation/control of financial reports vis-à-vis external organizations: Zewo, SDC, donors.

Administration / Human Resources

• Participation in the administrative management of staff (in particular link with the various social and insurance bodies);

• Salary treatment, social declarations (OCAS, LPP) and monthly tax declarations (withholding taxes)

• Mail processing and telephone reception (Portuguese, English);

• Management of the commissary and various purchases;

• Support in the physical management of EdM offices.

• Support for the organization of stays and missions

• Seminars, workshops organized in country: hotel reservations, plane tickets, per diem, etc.;

• Missions of EdM staff: control of expense reports, visas, booking of airline tickets for Expatriates.

Support to the General Secretariat

• Reception and good maintenance of the premises (kitchen management, commissary, decoration …);

• Support for the coordination and organization of meetings and appointments for the Secretariat;

• PV taking and archiving.

Requirements

• Proven experience of at least five years in administrative and accounting management (minimum 3 years in Mozambique), ideally in an international association/organization;

• Training in accounting;

• Fluency in English, (French, Portuguese added advantage), good writing;

• Good oral knowledge of Portuguese and English (telephone reception); German/French an added advantage.

• Mastery of Office 365 software including Teams, Excel, Word. Knowledge of accounting software and interest in new online cooperative tools;

• Autonomy, rigor;

• Team spirit and initiative;

• Ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel, flexibility;

• Love to render service;

• Sense of welcome and good telephone contact.

Our Offer

• Employment contract of indefinite duration

• Good working conditions

Salary:

Contract under Swiss labour code 4,900 CHF (~4,610 €) <> 6,900 CHF (7,400 €) net /month x 13 times (+ Withholding AVS candidate for Switzerland). Vacancy: 25 days/year, Health insurance, accident and medical repatriation insurance, location, return flight.
