Key Responsibilities
- provide day-to-day financial processing support
- ensure that all financial transactions are carried out in accordance with IFRC financial policies and procedures
- liaise with finance focal points of Red Cross National Societies across the Pacific to ensure the timely submission and accurate processing of acquittals, reconciliations, and reports
- support banking transactions, including invoice payments and reconciliations
- the issuance of invoices and payment receipts
- the processing of electronic fund transfers (EFTs)
- the handling of requisitions for operational cash advances and account replenishments
- assist with monthly closing procedures, including the verification of balance sheet accounts and the compilation and filing of supporting documentation for month-end reporting
- monitor petty cash and working advance accounts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding or aged balances
- maintain a robust filing system (both physical and electronic) for all financial documentation, ensuring compliance with IFRC filing standards
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably involving financial processing, reconciliation, reporting, and records management within a regional humanitarian or development organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
