JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
This position will report to the Finance Manager based at the Head Office in Karsanji Street. Vatuwaga.
The nature of the role includes:
Overall responsibility of the accounts payable, goods received note and purchase order ledgers.
Ensuring all reporting is produced in a timely, complete and accurate manner to agreed formats.
Ensuring that all creditor payments are made in a timely manner and in compliance with GF internal control policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensuring accurate charging and recording of expenses to cost centres and analyzing invoice/expense reports.
Providing value-added analysis and information for management decision-making around cash outflow forecasts.
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with both external and internal customers.
Assisting with audit and other statutory requirements.
Coaching and mentoring direct reports and providing regular positive and constructive feedback on performance achievements.
Monitoring cash flow and recommending appropriate action and identifying business improvement opportunities.
Maintaining historical records through quality filing systems.
Key skills and attributes required:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent majoring in Accounting or Finance with at least some experience using large accounting systems e.g. Syspro or SAP.
You must have at least five years work experience in a similar role.
Proven experience in financial accounting with a large organisation.
Excellent analytical skills, results-driven and a team player.
