PROJECT COORDINATOR – Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management (MRMDDM)

The PROSPER Project Implementation Unit (PIU) is a dedicated project unit established within the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management (MRMDDM) to coordinate and support the preparation and implementation of the Promoting Scalable Rural Prosperity and Economic Resilience (PROSPER) Project.

The PIU operates under the overall oversight of MRMDDM, which serves as the Implementing Agency for the project. The Unit provides the central coordination and management function for the project, working closely with participating Government ministries and agencies, development partners, communities, and other stakeholders.

The Project Coordinator manages day-to-day project preparation activities for PROSPER to ensure effective, efficient, and timely delivery of required outputs across planning, procurement, finance, communications, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation. Preparation work planning, stakeholder coordination, staff supervision, and delivery of World Bank-aligned documentation and missions support are ensured to meet agreed timelines for appraisal, negotiations, and board approval. This role reports to MRMDDM.
