Aspen Medical is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the role of  Security Officer. The successful candidate shall provide a safe and secure environment for Hospital patients, visitors and employees by enforcing Aspen Medical security policies and procedures.    

Key Outcomes 

• Aspen Medical buildings and materials are secured in accordance with the Aspen Medical Operating Procedures. 
• Accurate maintenance of hourly records and detailed occurrence books. 

• All incidents reported within Aspen Medical Operating Procedures.

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:

• Provide security services on a roster basis at the Aspen Medical facility
• Patrol the perimeter, entrance and exit points of the Aspen Medical facility 
• Keep records of any disturbance and report these in accordance with Aspen Medical Operating Procedures 

• Redirect queries from customers as required to the appropriate reception area 
• Maintain Physically fitness inorder to efficiently execute day-to-day duties  
• Assist in investigations on security breaches & submit reports to the Security Coordinator 
• Submit recommendations for improvements to the security management program including emergency preparedness, general security and risk avoidance
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications Required

• At least 3 year’s experience as a security officer 
• Previous experience in security operations or disciplined force would be considered an advantage
• Reliable with a client service attitude 

• Ability to relate to people from different backgrounds/cultures in a courteous manner
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and neutrality, in a sensitive environment

• Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills
• Must be physically & mentally fit and in sound health
• Have a clean Police Record 

• An honest & reliable person

• Have a good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety
