Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and logistical assistance to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), ensuring efficient office operations and executive decision making.
- Manage and streamline communication between the Deputy Commissioner (Operations), the Commissioner of Police, senior executives, and divisional commanders to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
- Ensure institutional documentation is prepared to the highest standard, reflecting transparent processes, consistent language, and compliance with organizational and governance requirements.
- Maintain secure handling of sensitive information and confidential records, upholding neutrality and integrity in all administrative matters.
- Establish and sustain effective communication channels with unit staff, divisional/formation commanders, government agencies, and external partners to support collective organizational objectives.
- Actively support corporate planning, budgeting, and reporting activities, ensuring alignment with Fiji Police Force strategic priorities and institutional goals.
Requirements
- A Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Office Administration from a recognized institution OR more than three years’ experience in a secretarial or administrative support role.
- At least 3-5 years of working knowledge in a secretarial or administrative support role.
- Understanding of administrative and financial legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- High proficiency with MS Office applications and demonstrated computer skills.
